Park Talk: Rocky Mountain Sport for All

Hear from Rocky Mountain Adaptive as they describe their work in providing individuals with any disability the chance to access all sport and recreational activities in the Canadian Rockies.

Presenter: Kim Cosman

Kim Cosman has been involved in adaptive alpine skiing since 2011 after completing her first adaptive ski certifications in New Zealand. After 12 back to back winter seasons between Canada and New Zealand she has gone on to complete her adaptive trainers certifications in both countries as well as courses in coaching, empowering students with disabilities and adult education.

In the winter of 2014 she joined Rocky Mountain Adaptive as their winter program coordinator. In this role she has been able to provide instruction to both adaptive athletes and up and coming adaptive instructors. Recently, Kim has taken on the role of year round Program Coordinator with Rocky Mountain Adaptive, and is “warming up” to summers in Canada! She also acts as the Program Coordinator for the Remarkables Adaptive Snowsports Programme in Queenstown, New Zealand.
